Anthurium ‘Angala’

On October 11, 2023, exactly two years ago today, we posted about a special breeding line of DocBlock hybrids that express wide, silver veins. Anthurium ‘Angela’ (’35’) and ‘Tortoiseshell’ are cultivars numbered ’34’ and ’36’) developed to express color and leaf size/shape variations.
’35’ was named Anthurium ‘Angela’ in honor of Angela Rapisarda, the owner of “Casa Botanica” in The Netherlands. She’s pictured here holding this wonderful specimen breeding plant. Angela’s lovely smile in this April 2022 pic captured a wonderfully happy moment when she visited with her husband Lennard van Vliet.
DocBlock and “Michelle” will join “Angela” and Lennard at the International Exotic Plant Show (October 17-19, 2025) in China. Meet them at the “Casa Botanica” booth (P17) in the Wuxi Taihu International Expo Center!
